Is Wall- mart good for America?

Wall-mart may not be good for America but it’s for china because it provides them jobs by buying their products. I understand their point they just want to make money and buying china’s products is their best option because they sale it for less and they can re-sale it for more money and get more profit. This is the goal of every business make a large profit. Wall-mart is not good for America because they could buy product in America and this would create more jobs for the American people.

Part 3: Think

  1. Before doing this activity were you aware of any of these events and that they occurred on your birthday? No of none of them…
  2. Is there anything about any of these events that surprises you?

Yes, the fact that 18 year ago blacks and white weren’t allowed to get married. I know that back then racism was a big issue but I didn’t know it was that big by that time.

  1. Do you have any connections, large or small to any of these events?

Yes about the marriages between blacks and white… if that wouldn’t changed is like segregation maybe our school wouldn’t exist because we have people from all over the world including blacks and whites.

  1. Do you think that any of these events had an impact, large or small, on your life or those of your family members that you know of?

Yes… because if this even would not occur my aunt wouldn’t be able to marry the person that she is marry to right now.

  1. What conclusions can you draw about what your city/town was like on the day you were born based on this newspaper? What other observations can be made?

It was very controversial because many events that were very important for the people were occurring, even scientist were trying to develop new things.

2/11/10

Because of our culture in school and in New York City my biggest concern is racial intervention. Stereotypes take over our mind and I wonder why? Why we let little thing change our prospective toward a specific group of people? Why we generalize and believe thing that other people say or judge a whole group for the actions of an individual? We limit our self in our culture I don’t see the interest in experimenting other cultures.

Another thing that I would love to understand about human behavior is the way we deal with our ego. We don’t care to harm other as long as we obtain whatever we want. I have heard of people that have killed their own family member just for money. The ego is part of a human being is just that some people can control it better than others.

2-8-10

The differences between sociology and the other social sciences can be confusing to others but for some people it’s easier because we have different sciences that can help us to see and understand more about the world that we live today. They can be related but they are basic differences. Different sciences focus on different topics.

Social science is all about the study of the socials changes and human behavior. They are different sciences that are related to this like history, political sciences Economics anthropology, and Psychology. Political sciences it the focus on politics or government this study the way people govern one another and how this influence their lives. Psychologists are concerned on how people adjust to the problems and challenges that are faced on their daily life.

Even though sociology studies the same as the way people interact with each other. Sociology focuses more on the facts that happened in the present and not on past studies of society societies. On other sciences like economy, anthropologist and political sciences could have topics that will not apply for sociology.

Homework 2/4

PART 1:

1. What is the difference between sociology and biology?

the difference between sociology and biology is that sociology focus on the world nature specifically on humans behavior this can include psychology, anthropology, political science and others. biology focus more on nature this include natural studies are biology, geology, physics and others.

2. What is an example of social life or social interaction or social change or groups or societies or human behaviors that is interesting to you? Why?

something that is very interest to me is human behavior… the fact that we live the present not knowing the future and how we cling on things to better our self or just to have a reason to live and be good people. this is interest to me because i think if we understand the motive of life and how people create one we could understand human behavior in all aspects…

PART 2:

Using worksheets #1 and #2, write 1-3 paragraphs explaining how the natural sciences are different from the social sciences. Use as many examples from your worksheets as possible.

EXTRA: You may also include similarities between social and natural sciences, but the focus is mostly on differences.

que es felicidad? what is happiness

this is a bad translation!! but i just wanted to share it with everyone… i hope you like it…

What is happiness? is to be truly satisfied with your life, although this is not always perfect. Is knowing that even if the dreams are always done late at your fingertips. Is to remember the year that has past with satisfaction and gratitude and hope the coming year with anticipation hope
